… WIND CHILL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 12 PM CST /1 PM EST/ FRIDAY…

A WIND CHILL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 12 PM CST /1 PM EST/ FRIDAY.

BITTERLY COLD TEMPERATURES WILL COMBINE WITH NORTHWEST WINDS TO PRODUCE DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS OF 25 BELOW TO 40 BELOW ZERO THIS MORNING. FOR A BRIEF TIME THIS AFTERNOON… WIND CHILLS OF 20 BELOW TO 30 BELOW ARE POSSIBLE BUT ARE EXPECTED TO FALL BACK TO 25 BELOW TO 40 BELOW TONIGHT. SOME IMPROVEMENTS ARE POSSIBLE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AS AIR TEMPERATURES BEGIN TO WARM INTO THE POSITIVE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO.

A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF WIND AND VERY COLD AIR WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR DEATH IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
